Walk description: The walk starts in North Glen Sannox and heads onto Sail an Im and a stunning ridge round to the rugged great turrets of natural rock that mark the top of Caisteal Abhail (859m), looking like the remains of ancient castles that once guarded the heart of the Arran hills. Some of the best views to be seen on these hills are from here, with a panorama that takes in the whole island and beyond. From here the route hugs the ridge around the top of Glen Sannox before ascending Cir Mhor (799m). From the summit the decsent into Glen Rosa’s natural amphitheatre is via Fionn Choire. Take a camera, collect memories!
